Getting an IEP Document Started
To create an Individual Education Plan, click on the Documents tab. Then click on Create New Form. Finally, from the drop-down menu, click on St. Paul Schools IEP Plan. The IEP Outline will appear. The IEP information is divided into sections. Use the hyperlinks within the IEP Outline box to quickly navigate between sections.

Upon completion of each section, click the Save button before moving to the next window. Save and Continue will take you to the Student Demographic section of the IEP, or the next window following in succession.

Once completing all necessary information on the IEP, click Print and create the Notice of Proposed Services.  Once parent has signed the initial IEP document, or 10 days has elapsed on an annual IEP, return to the IEP top section, "Educational Plan". and click "Plan Completed".  This will lock the document from further changes being made, and preserve the integrity of your form.  If minor changes need to be made, the document can be unlocked by contacting a special education Campus administrator (Mary Kelly/spps or laurence manchester/spps).

If significant changes need to be made in the document, a copy can be made of the original, and the edits put in the new document.  The dates of the meeting where the changes were determined need to be entered as the new IEP date, and a new Notice of Proposed Services sent with the document to parents.  Therefore, do not lock documents until parent has indicated approval.
