MARSS - "Enrollment Status"
In Minnesota, MARSS data is used by the State to determine how much money your school district will receive for services provided. Accurate MARSS data is essential. The updated information can automatically be pulled into the existing IEP by clicking the Refresh MARSS Info button. The editable MARSS section option allows IEP team members to change this information directly. Complete each field accurately. This data is used for State and Federal reporting.

1. Primary Disabilty - Must be the result of an Evaluation signed by team members, determining eligibilty in one primary area.

2. Secondary Disabilities - Resulting from Evaluation signed by team members indicating eligibility has been established in a second or possibly third area.  This is different than a related service, because eligibilty must be established.

3. Special Education Status - Should always be marked "4" Receiving Services.  (that is why you are writing the IEP)

4 Special Ed Setting -
    01 = 0-21% of day in special setting
    02 = 21-60% of day in special setting
    03 = 61-100% of day in special setting
    04 = separate site facility
