The Components of Reading Training

Special Education Educational Assistants will be provided training around the components of Reading - Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Reading Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. The Special Education Literacy Benchmark will be reviewed as well as a review of formative assessment instruments used by elementary teachers. Please sign up on pdexpress for one of two sessions being presented on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 (Early Dismissal Day Elementary). The sessions will be 1:15-2:15 or 2:45-3:45 in the Cafeteria at 360 Colborne Street.
